White Daisy Driving School provides tailored driving lessons to suit all abilities and range of experience.
Having 24 years driving experience and 12 years experience of coaching and developing people to success means that I can adapt and structure lessons to suit you and your personal learning style.
I also appreciate that whilst learning to drive is very important, it should also be fun. You learn more quickly when you are enjoying yourself. Learning should be an enjoyable experience for both of us so lessons are carried out in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with plenty of support and encouragement. Learning to drive can be easier than you think!
You will receive your own progress record folder which will help you to monitor your progress, keep track of your lessons and provide you with lots of other information to help you pass your test and become a safe driver for life.
Pay as you go!
Essentially you book your driving lessons as and when you require.
You choose the duration of your lessons. The most popular lesson lengths are 90 minutes or 2 hours. I find that 1 hour lessons can be a little too short as it can take up to 15 minutes for you to warm up and time is needed for me to explain new parts of the syllabus before you can practice them.
If you want to reduce the cost of lessons then you may want to consider discount block booking below whilst still taking your lessons at your own pace.
Driving courses/Discount block bookings
Some people like to speed up the learning process, have limited time in which to learn or just want to reduce the cost of their lessons. If this is you then White Daisy Driving School offers a range of driving courses at discounted prices.
Some schools offer 1 week crash courses but I feel that this puts too much pressure on pupils and instructors. Pass rates are low and these type of courses can end up being very expensive. I also believe that 1 week does not give you enough basic experience to make you an independant and safe driver for life.
I would recommend completing the courses over a few weeks, 4-6 hours over 2 or 3 days per week. Assuming you are practising during the week as well, you will find that this is fast paced enough to satisfy the most eager learner yet provides enough time for familiarity, road sense and basic experience.
White Daisy Driving School offers 3 driving courses.
Full course - 30 hours in car tuition - designed for learners with no experience
Intermediate course - 20 hours in car tuition - designed for learners with some experience
Short course - 10 hours in car tuition - designed for learners with experience or who have attempted their test on a previous occasion and been unsuccessful
Alternatively, if you just want to reduce the cost of your lessons then you can book & pay in advance for lessons in blocks of 10/20/30 hours.
Monthly Contract
Why not pre-pay for your next month's lessons every pay day then you will not only be able to take advantage of the cheaper prices but also ensure you have all your lessons covered for the next month. That way you won't have to miss lessons at the end of the month because you've spent all your wages.
All discount block bookings/courses must be paid for in full prior to the start of the course and are non-refundable accept on medical grounds.
Pass Plus Course
Once you've passed your test, why not go on to do your Pass Plus course. Most young drivers are not aware that if you get 6 points on your licence within the first 2 years then your licence will be revoked & you will need to pass your Theory & Practical tests again.
Pass Plus is a follow on set of driving lessons that aims to build on your newly acquired skills and knowledge. It teaches you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards and helps to make you feel more confident in your first few months of independent driving.
A Pass Plus course consists of 6 modules and takes about 6 hours to complete. The modules are:
- Driving on town
- Driving in all weathers
- Driving on rural roads
- Driving at night
- Driving on dual carriageways
- Driving on motorways
Taking a Pass Plus course not only improves your driving skills but can also be used to lower your car insurance - in some cases your insurance can be halved! A list of participating insurers is provided as part of your course but can also be found on the DSA web site.
There is NO test or exam to take. At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate which can then be presented to your insurance company for a substantial discount.
Refresher Driving Lessons
These can be very useful for people of all ages for a variety of reasons.
- Regain confidence after an accident
- Mandatory requirement following a driving offence
- Improve driving performance
- Not driven for a while
- Changed from automatic to manual
- To brush up on latest and correct methods to aid son/daughter/partner who is learning to drive (discounts available if your son/daughter is learning to drive with me)
By taking a refresher course of driving lessons you will be improving your safety on the road and your confidence in your abilties.
Motorway Driving Lessons
These are a popular option to new and experienced drivers to help gain confidence and an understanding of motorway driving.
To new drivers the thought of going down that slip road for the first time is pretty daunting. Everything is faster and motorway drivers just seem to drive 'differently'. I'll help you get to grips with motorways pretty quickly, from the legal conventions to general motorway etiquette.
Never driven on a motorway? Does the thought terrify you? Do you take the long way round to avoid motorways? If you answer yes to any of these questions then why not book a 2 hour motorway lesson & let me show you how easy and safe it is to drive on motorways. Just think of the time and petrol you could save if you didn't have to go the long way round every time you went anywhere!
