What Car? crowned the new Fiesta as Car of the Year, and also voted it Best Super-mini, saying, "The Fiesta is great to drive, rides comfortably, and is the most refined car in it's class. It's stylish inside and out." In the Sunday Times Jeremy Clarkson said "It's a cracker. It's a mind-blowing car. It's sensible. Demonstrably better than anything else for the same sort of money. Part of that is down to a fine chassis but some of it is also down to the engine. The harder you drive, the better it feels: tight, poised, balanced and, for a sensible super-mini, very good fun. The Driving Instructor magazine gives the Ford Fiesta a 5 star rating. Full insurance cover is provided on the vehicle and dual controls are fitted for your safety. This car has some great features which make it easy and fun to learn to drive. Here are a few of them .... Automatic wipers/lights/heater - As a learner you have enough to think about and concentrate on so let the lights, wipers and heater operate themselves while you keep both hands on the wheel. Cruise Control - You can accelerate and slow down just by holding buttons on the steering wheel and then the car will automatically maintain whatever speed you want while you rest your feet. This isn't something you should use too much as you need to learn how to drive without it although you are allowed to use this on a test. It comes in more when taking motorway lessons or pass plus. EPAS - Electronic Power Assisted Steering automatically adjusts itself to the situation you're in. When parking, the steering wheel becomes lighter to help you spin it more quickly. When on a fast road it tightens the wheel to prevent unwanted lane wondering. Power mirrors - If you come across a tight gap ahead then the mirrors fold in then out again, making it easier to get through. Premium driving seat - The drivers seat has been upgraded for more comfort. Privacy glass - If you don't like the thought of other drivers getting angry or annoyed with you then don't worry because they can't see you - the rear windows are blacked out. This is perfectly legal so long as a minimum of 70% of natural sunlight shows through and it looks no different when you're inside the car than normal glass. TDCI engine - This engine is responsive and can make it far easier when pulling onto roundabouts and doing high speed driving. The turbo charger helps you accelerate on open, winding roads and can make driving much safer by giving you that extra boost when you need to overtake or join a fast road.
